A couple of Sprint employees may be getting fired for piping up about the Pre, but that hasn’t stopped them. Blasting away at a keyboard “deep within customer care”, InsideSprintNow has a few previously unearthed details to share about the Pre.
Here are more details regarding the Palm Pre :
- No video recording at launch, though they seem to think such a thing will be added via update.
- MMS support is confirmed
- They imply that Office 2007 documents work fine on Pre, though they don’t specify if it’s read-only
- Custom ringtones are a go, as are ringback tones
- When in USB mode, all calls will be automatically routed to voicemail.
- IM Services: Google Talk and AIM at launch.
- The color for calendar events can be chosen manually on the Pre, or sync’ed with the colors you’ve got set up in Exchange
- Cookies can be disabled in the browser
- No pictbridge profile yet, so no wireless photo printing

sounds pretty good for sprint customers. too bad i use verizon and am not sure if this will be released for verizon as well
It does sound good for Sprint customers. We only have one service provider where I love.
Sorry about that, a slip. I meant to say:
We only have one service provider where I live. (and love)
Marion, you can remove these.
Bell Canada’s website:
Meet the new 3G Palm Pre
Coming soon, exclusively to Bell, on Canada’s largest 3G network
Maybe I’m on this site too much, I think this is trying to resemble (dare I say it?) an iPod Touch.
yeah sprint failed when touch and blackberry came out
now they are trying to catch up
Thats why palm pre became a failure..All the features except that of custom ringtones and that type of forwarding to voicemail on USB mode alone differs from what actually Symbian doin..Definitely need something more influencing feature..Disabling cookies is definitely not a feature at all..
Now only i’m studying on symbian..Really its interesting..People can join there as member like me and can develop their own application for their phones..
