Good news for any singleton phone geeks out there. A recent survey from mobile phones company Phones4u found that more than half of women find men who own gadgets such as iPhones more attractive than those who do not. Women who took part in this survey backed their decision up by saying iPhones give out the message of the owner being reliable and independent. According to one respondent, “if he knows his way around an iPhone then he’s obviously intelligent and well-off.”
“There’s just something about a man who’s good with computers that makes him more trustworthy,” said Amanda, a 23 year-old primary school teacher from York. “If he’s got the cash for an iPhone then he must be very good at his job, too.”
However As smart phones continue to surge in popularity, it’s worth bearing in mind that a different poll found that some men who buy the iPhone tend to have less disposable incomes. Hopefully that won’t put the ladies off.
Current UK sales of the iPhone are estimated at around the two million mark; with a hefty share of the market within the males’ 20-40 demographic. For singles like Lucy, there are many apps available such as Lovestruck London, in which young professional subscribers can seek each other out by giving details such as where they eat at lunch, in order to get together for a drink between meetings.
