We have read some articles regarding our contest and we have made a decision. A good one, we hope! First of all, the rules of this contest for bloggers was simple : make a post in which you tell us what would you like to read on a technology blog and insert two links (a link to techboing homepage and another one to the article with the contest).
The only one who did that is Steve Andrews, the first lucky winner of TechBoing’s first contest. He will receive an iPod Touch. Steve, please send us an e-mail with your details, so we can ship it immediately.
Don’t be dissapointed, we still have an iPod Touch to give for a quality commenter. We will announce the winner on 5 July, and until then you can continue commenting.
We have already spoken with the guys from Dell and they will gladly sponsor our next contest. Keep in touch!

In fact, there were quite a few other people who blogged about it and followed the rules too.

I’m disappointed at your mistake, to say the least. I doubt if you truly checked our blog posts. How could you possibly miss so many valid entries? You’re a Tech blog after all.

@Nicole : There are some spammers around here, so my decision is to make a poll asking if the contest is going to continue or not. The one for commenters.
I will also increase the prize with a flash drive.

@Marian what is the problem?I didn’t spam..Just look at the timings..I post only quality comments..Otherwise you have to state the rules correctly like one comment per post..You just say comments as much you can..Then how can you expect people not to post comments..I myself conducting various giveaway programmes in India..Just visit s60 site..
Its your mistakes.
1.If its a contest you have to state the rules clearly like ending date,number of mistakes.
2.If the traffic of the site is high then it won’t look that i’m posting comments continuously.But for a day other than me only 3 or 4 people posting their comments and few in number.. I expect proper explanation from you as a moderator.
